I’m absolutely thrilled with the amazing headshots that Sumi took for my website!!! Sumi is not only an extremely talented photographer, but also a genuine lovely person to work with. The whole photographic process was such a joyous and streamlined experience. From our preliminary zoom chat, to the actual shoot (which I loved) to the excitement of receiving and choosing my photos. It was all conducted with so much professionalism and warmth. I was initially nervous on the day, but needn’t have worried as Sumi has that natural way of making you feel instantly relaxed. In fact, I soon forgot that there was even a camera lens between us. I honestly felt like I was smiling at a friend. And, as a result the photos are so natural, and I feel that Sumi has captured ‘the real me”. Another thing I loved was that I didn’t have to worry about striking a perfect pose on my own. Sumi led me through each shot, instructing me how to position myself to achieve the most flattering pose. I have never felt that confident in front of a camera – ever! I highly recommend Sumi. I had a business branding photoshoot with Sumi. I was impressed with her comprehensive planning consultation before the session. She wanted to discover the type of images and looks I wanted, and invited me to bring my cat Tiernay as animal communication is core to my business. She requested to see the outfits I wanted to wear so that she could plan backgrounds and props in advance. Tiernay and I thoroughly enjoyed the actual photoshoot with different backgrounds, settings and lighting. Sumi is very talented at directing to achieve the best possible look and creating images that evoke the essence of the subject. She had the photos ready to show me on Feb 4th, so that I could select which ones to keep. The standard of images was amazing, and it was challenging to pick my favourites. I received the final image files that afternoon. I’ve shared them on social media today and have already received so many compliments about the stunning images. I highly recommend Sumi as a photographer who cares about what her clients want, and takes the time to create lasting memories. <3

Initially, I decided to take part in Sumiko’s 50 over 50, because I had been to her launch for the previous one and had seen how beautiful her photo’s of the women were. I heard some of them speak at the launch event and how it had changed the way they saw themselves (through the lens of Sumi’s camera), hence changed their confidence and sense of self-worth. When I saw how she portrayed their individual personality and beauty I realised that Sumi had a special gift, that changed peoples lives!

My daughter who has suffered from low self esteem and low confidence due to a chronic condition. I wanted to treat my daughter to a photo shoot to show her how exceptional and beautiful she was inside and out. My daughter was very reluctant at first but Sumico has such a beautiful way of connecting with people. We were invited to participate in the 20/20 project recommended by Sumico. Brooke never wore makeup before the shoot so the transformation was staggering. My daughter now holds her head higher and walks with a new found confidence since the photo shoot. I needed photos for my individual team members as well as I thought it would be fun to have group photos as well. We contacted Sumi a week before we wanted them done and she made it happen. In just an hour of shooting we got 5 individual people photographed as well as group shots in 3 different outfits. It was super easy and fun and she got the photos to us 5 days later. I went to Sumico Photography for a personal branding shoot, primarily to use in my business marketing. Not a fan of being in front of the camera I was somewhat anxious about doing this especially as I didn’t feel I had the best clothing options. Well Sumi made it an absolutely enjoyable experience. Her consultation and advice prior to the shoot was very helpful especially regarding the clothing choices. Not having to worry about hair and makeup for the day was a relief. And then her work on the day and the resulting photos blew me away. I love what she has captured. I will 100% be recommending my clients to Sumi.

Sumi was wonderful, funny, delightful and did the most fabulous job of making me enjoy having pictures done. I’m usually the one who hides from a camera so to say that I really enjoyed the experience is really something. This outstanding project has been a phenomenal experience for me on a personal level. I have learned that I am much stronger than I thought I was. For the first time in my life, I am proud of me and proud of my achievements. I feel totally empowered.

I took part in Sumiko’s 50 over 50 project partly as I needed new head-shots for by Acting and Marriage Celebrancy businesses and partly because I thought it was a very interesting and inspiring project.
We had a preliminary meeting where I took what seemed to me almost my whole wardrobe to select 5 different looks.
On the day of the photo-shoot we went over the allotted 3 hours, partly because I had bought an extra gown that Sumiko said she would love to capture me in, but I never felt rushed.
Prior to the photo-shoot I had my hair and make up done by a professional make up artist and started to feel very glamorous.
I felt relaxed and at ease throughout the photo-shoot and had a great time chatting and being directed to pose.
I think we had a fun morning together, I know I did.
And, the photos were AMAZING. I had so many compliments that it has made me accept myself as others see me and graciously accept the compliments which resulted from the magic of the team of Sumico Photography, Ann Ricketts and Rita’s Makeup Artistry
